Notes: January 26, 2009 – 2 Chronicles 32

In the next few days, we shall be looking at 2 Chronicles 32 and its parallels in 2 Kings 18-19 and Isaiah 36-37. It’s important to see both the big picture, as it’s presented in the three books, and the smaller pieces that may appear in only one or another of the three.

After these things (v 1). The other books tells us it was in the 14th year of king Hezekiah. What is it that came BEFORE? It was the nationwide reformation that Hezekiah began on his first day in office. How often trouble rises soon after we’ve enjoyed communion with God. But was gracious to allow a long season of peace. Did that season prepare the king and his people for what was to follow? We shall soon see.
