Notes: October 23, 2008 – Proverbs 14 & 15

Proverbs 14

  • It’s settled, then. If I want people to see that I’m a busy person, I should leave my desk cluttered (Proverbs 14:4)
  • Also settled is this: I should not go to church or university where God is not known (Proverbs 14:7)
  • How many TV programs would there be if nobody mocked sin? (Proverbs 14:9)
  • Things are not always how I see them (Proverbs 14:12)
  • Don’t believe everything you hear (Proverbs 14:15)
  • Control your temper (Proverbs 14:17, 29)
  • Solomon believed in creation (Proverbs 14:31)
  • Contrary to popular opinion, sin is not only a private matter (Proverbs 14:34)

Proverbs 15

  • It doesn’t always work, but have you ever tried it? (Proverbs 15:1)
  • God sees everything (Proverbs 15:3)
  • Not all religious activity is approved by or accepted by God (Proverbs 15:8, 26, 29)
  • You don’t look so good. Why? (Proverbs 15:13)
  • Maybe you shouldn’t work so much (Proverbs 15:16-17)
