Prison Protest

Paul rejected his informal and private release from prison. Why?

Acts 16:35-40

[audio:am-2009-12-06.mp3]
  • Message from the magistrates
  • Jailer’s joy
  • Paul’s protest
  • Hearing and fearing
  • Righting the wrong

Negotiations ended

Meditation Points:

1. At times the same message or event can be seen from two, opposite  perspectives. Be careful to look for God’s perspective.

2. People of authority often make mistakes of judgment because they fail to look for all the evidence. The greater mistake is to deny making the first one.

3. What has God given you naturally, like citizenship, that you should be using for His glory?
