Free Will

2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

  1. Does God have free will?
  2. Does God have unlimited power?
  3. Does God have complete wisdom?
  4. Does God think and do only what is good and holy?

If the answer to all of these questions is “Yes”, then consider:

If God wills my salvation, then that is a good and holy choice.
If God wills my salvation, then He has the power to guarantee the outcome.
If God wills my salvation, then He already knows the obstacles that I may lay before Him.

God is so good and holy that He, with infinite wisdom, wills my salvation; and He is also good and holy when He wisely uses His unlimited divine power to convict me of my sin and my need to trust the Christ who gave His life as a ransom for sin- to save me.
