Vision of God’s glory

As in chapter 1, Ezekiel sees God again. However, on this occasion God’s glory seems to be moving away from the temple.

Ezekiel 10

Remember that the infallible meaning of this vision is that Ezekiel realizes he is in the presence of God.

  • Ezekiel 1:28
  • Ezekiel 3:25
  • Ezekiel 8:4
  • Ezekiel 10:4, 18

Ezekiel 11

  • Those who disobeyed God and stayed in Jerusalem receive God’s condemnation (v. 1-13).
  • Those who obeyed God and submitted to Babylonian captivity will be favored (v. 14-21).
  • God’s glory departs the city; and the Spirit returns Ezekiel to Babylon where he witnesses of his vision (v. 22-25).
