Notes: February 24, 2009 – Habakkuk 1 & 2

Good and bad seem to be out of balance. Why is that?

Chapter 1

  • v 2,3. How long? Why?
  • 5. God promises to do something unbelievable.
  • 6-11. God will change the mind of the invading army.
  • 12-13. Recognizing God’s holiness, the prophet asks why?
  • 16. Imagine someone worshiping his fishing net.

Chapter 2

  • v 1. The prophet determines to wait for God to answer.
  • v 2-4. God instructs him (and us) that he must wait in faith.
  • v 5-20. The enemy will be destroyed for it cruelty and idolatry.
