The Fall of Damascus (Syria)

Isaiah 17

• Damascus will fall (v 1-3)
• Israel will be judged, too (v 4-6)
• A remnant shall survive (v 7-8)
• The reason for this judgment? Forgetting God (Isaiah 17:10)

Isaiah 18

• The nation beyond the rivers, traveling by sea in vessels of bulrushes (v 1-2). Egypt?
• God will do something (v 3-4) before harvest time (v 5-6). Will he save Egypt and her Israelite refugees?
• If so, then Egypt and the Jews in hiding should thank God for His mercy (v 7)
